The Achievements of J.C. Tran in the Poker World

J. C. Tran is a person who has a bachelor's degree in Business Management Information Systems which he obtained from the California State University in Sacramento, California. Despite having completed a bachelor's degree, he decided to venture into the field of poker. Now, J. C. Tran is recognized as one of the best players of poker.

Born in Nha Trang, Vietnam on January 20, 1977, J. C. Tran, whose real name is Justin Cuong Van Tran, is the youngest of eight siblings. He did not learn about poker in Vietnam, but it was in Sacramento where he learned to love the game. His interest in the game began when he started to visit local casinos. What made him more interested was the fact that he did not have a hard time winning in poker games because of his natural statistical and analytical abilities. With such abilities, he felt like poker could provide him money in such an easy way. Now, it does not seem like he still need his Business Management Information Systems degree to earn a living. The closest thing he does to apply his degree is by managing his schedule in playing poker, as well as managing his poker winnings. Now, although he continues to play at local casinos in Sacramento, he is more visible in major tournaments such as the World Poker Tour.

J. C. Tran started to be recognized by a number of poker enthusiasts in August 2000 when he joined the Legends of Poker tournament. He was considered a newbie in professional poker at that time but was fortunate to place eighth and to win US$1,550.

The second time that J. C. Tran was seen to experience a victory was in March 2003 when he joined the Spring Poker Tournament. His excellent statistical and analytical skills were on display when he became a runner up and won US$1,849. This poker professional was seen in other poker events in 2003, including the World Poker Challenge, the San Francisco Open, the Grand Slam of Poker tournament, the Heavenly Hold'em tournament, and the Lucky Chances 49'er Gold Rush Bonanza tournament.

J. C. Tran is one active poker professional, having been watched by poker fans in more than one event on an annual basis. The ability of this poker professional to always be present in major events seems to have honed him as he just keeps getting better and better each time he plays.

But of all his achievements, the major feat experienced by J. C. Tran transpired on March 28, 2007 when he earned his very first World Poker Tour title. This poker professional earned the title when he successfully defeated his opponents in the No Limit Hold'em Championship game.

J. C. Tran was also recognized as the Player of the Year of the World Poker Tour during its fifth season. He says that his ambition is to become a well-respected poker professional in both cash games and tournaments. Well, with his achievements, it does not seem like a very difficult ambition to attain.
